What Makes a Good Logo?

Good Logos  Beats Headphones  What makes this a good logo?  It's simplistic and symbolic. Using only two colors and three shapes, even a child would be able to recreate this logo. The "b" inside the red circle can also be interpreted as a minimalist drawing of a headphone, therefore also serving as a symbol for the product.  Jordan's The logo is probably one of the most iconic ones of our generation and is easily recognizable. While it isn't as simple as the Beats logo, it isn't too chaotic of a design either. It's entirely appropriate for the brand as a large percentage of their products are marketed as basketball shoes. Using only one solid color to create the silhouette makes this logo timeless as it would print well both small and large.  Red Bull  The high contrast in this logo is something which sets it apart from other brands.
